Course Description
Macromedia Dreamweaver 8: Website Development is designed to teach new web developers how to create websites using Dreamweaver 8. The course is task-based, with students learning by doing. Students will build a website for a fictitious restaurant, Cafe Townsend. Along with covering the basics of Dreamweaver 8, the course focuses on best practices and design, stressing the importance of usability, optimization, and performance.
Course Objective: In this course, you will examine the basics of Dreamweaver 8 with a focus on best practices and design.
Target Student: This course is for web developers who want to learn how to create websites using Dreamweaver 8.
Prerequisites: You should have the following certification(s), course(s), or equivalent experience prior to taking this course:
Have experience with Windows operating systems (or the Macintosh operating system, where systems are available in a classroom).
Use and have knowledge of the web environment and web browsers.
Have a basic understanding of document formatting programs, such as Microsoft Word.
